The Challenge

We're excited to offer a 6-month DevOps and Cloud Development Internship as part of our initiative to create the "Swarm" super-app. This app is designed to revolutionize the work experience for our employees (Think-iteers) by integrating essential tools and features into a single, innovative platform. As a DevOps Intern, you'll collaborate with our Mobile Development team and play a vital role in this transformative project. The Swarm project is not just about app development; it's about revolutionizing the way Think-iteers interact with their work environment and each other and we need your help to play a crucial role in this! by contributing to:

  • Serverless Backend Development: You will design and implement serverless backend solutions, crucial for powering the app's functionalities and integrating with various services and tools.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Your role involves setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, streamlining the build, test, and delivery processes of the app, thus ensuring efficient and consistent development workflows.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will employ IaC practices using tools like Terraform or Pulumi to manage and version system components, enhancing maintainability and scalability.
  • System Observability: Setting up comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alert systems will be a key responsibility to ensure ongoing health and performance monitoring of the system.
  • Collaboration amp; Documentation: Throughout the internship, you will work in synergy with other team members, including Mobile and Web developers. Maintaining clear and concise documentation of your work will be essential for knowledge sharing and future enhancements.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Coding Experience (Python. Go and/or JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with AWS and Serverless architectures. Familiarity with Firebase is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines (Github actions, Gitlab-CI, CodePipeline).
  • Familiarity with IaC technologies, preferably Terraform and/or Pulumi.
  • Exposure to Monitoring and observability tools (such as Sentry, DataDog, Cloudwatch).
